Originally operating as Advanced Water Systems, Beyond Water was founded by Director Phillip Clarke.

With many years of experience in the water reticulation industry, Phillip first set out on his own to bring the community superior products and a level of service that was lacking at the time—more than 20 years ago.

Backed by his extensive knowledge, hands-on skill, and the support of quality brands, Phillip quickly grew from a one-man operation into a small team, and soon into a well-established business recognised for its commitment to excellence.

Seeking further opportunities for his customers, Phillip later joined the Think Water Group, becoming Think Water Cambridge. The move provided access to broader industry expertise and innovative technology across New Zealand and Australia. Over time, Phillip expanded further, opening two additional Think Water franchises.

After years of success within the group, Phillip made the decision to bring Cambridge back to its roots—returning it to an independently owned company under the name Beyond Water. With this change, he continues to focus on delivering high-quality water solutions driven by community values, innovation, and customer-first service.
